Changes in Grading Option

CHOOSING A GRADING OPTION
Refer to the UCI General Catalogue for all Pass/No Pass regulations prior to selecting or changing the grading option for your courses (the regulations are available here - scroll to "Pass/Not Pass") and contact an academic advisor with any questions.

Note the following requirements must be taken for letter grades:

All School of Humanities requirements
All major courses

**MINORS: You may take up to 2 classes toward a minor for Pass/No Pass.

**REPEATS: If you are repeating a course that you previously took for a letter grade and did not pass, you must repeat the course for a letter grade.

HOW TO CHANGE THE GRADING OPTION
For majors in the School of Humanities

Week	Procedure	Notes
Before Friday of Week 2	Use WebReg.	Courses listed on the Schedule of Classes with a B or X restriction require an authorization code from the instructor.
Weeks 3-10	Submit request in Student Access: Applications > Enrollment Exceptions. Requests must be submitted by Friday of Week 10 at 5pm to be considered.	Consultation with an academic advisor is strongly recommended. All requests for courses eligible to be taken P/NP will be approved.
After Week 10	It is too late to change the grading option.	There are no exceptions to the Week 10 deadline. No requests may be submitted after Friday of Week 10 at 5pm.
