SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS (in-person or via Zoom)

If you are not currently a Humanities major and want to change into or add a Humanities major please start with our Change of Major procedure and complete the verification form to be eligible for an appointment: https://www.humanities.uci.edu/undergrad/students/changemajor.php.

NOTE: If you are requesting in-person advising for your scheduled appointment, you must be in compliance with the UC COVID-19 Vaccination Program, the Daily Symptom Check and any applicable testing requirements. DROP-IN APPOINTMENTS (via Zoom)

One-on-one drop-in advising allows you to virtually meet with a School of Humanities academic advisor via Zoom for general advising questions, scheduling issues, degree requirements, and questions regarding school policies and procedures.

Drop-in appointments are available for current undergraduate Humanities students and non-Humanities students who have completed our Change of Major procedure (https://www.humanities.uci.edu/undergrad/students/changemajor.php). Non-Humanities students with a minor in the School of Humanities may only been seen through drop-in advising during Weeks 2 - 7 and 10 only. Students seeking readmission are not eligible for drop-in advising and must schedule a Zoom appointment.

Drop-ins are generally available Monday through Thursday from 1pm to 3:30pm. To add yourself to the drop-in queue during scheduled hours, which will place you in a virtual line to meet with an advisor, please click here to fill out the request form. NOTE: This form is only available during drop-in hours and will not accept responses outside of drop-in hours.

Please make sure that your name on your UCI Zoom account matches your full name (first and last name) listed on your UCI student record. Students will be seen one-on-one on a first-come, first-serve basis. Drop-in advising meetings last approximately 15 minutes.
ONLINE CHAT

For quick questions requiring a more immediate response, chat is the best option. Chat allows you to communicate with a Humanities Peer Academic Advisor.

Examples of questions that are best for chat:

• Where can I get an authorization code to add a course?
• Can I take this course as Pass/No Pass?
• When is the deadline to drop a class?
