| LATIN 104 | OVID'S HEROIDES | SNYDER, R. | The goal of Latin 104 is to improve your ability to read Latin poetry by strengthening your knowledge of Latin grammar and increasing your vocabulary. To this end, the course will include reviews of morphological forms and grammar, but its focus will be on reading Latin accurately and efficiently. To help improve your understanding of poetry as a verbal art, you will also practice the scansion and recitation of Latin poetry. Repetition and the use of multiple senses will ultimately help you gain a better feel for the language and, as an added bonus, will help you memorize grammatical paradigms and vocabulary more quickly and easily. |
