LATIN 1AFUNDAMENTALSSTAFFThis course is the first quarter of instruction in first year Latin language. We will cover the rudiments of Latin grammar, syntax and vocabulary and will translate simple passages and sentences. Instruction and practice in grammar and vocabulary will alternate every week with the reading of Latin passage. No prerequisites. Daily homework, a weekly quiz, midterm exam and a final examination.
