GREEK 1BFUNDAMENTALSCLAXTON, C.This course is a continuation of first-year Greek and we will complete another twenty or so chapters of our beginning textbook, From Alpha to Omega by Anne Groton. Strict attention will be paid to the mastery of forms and syntax and we will also increase our reading skills. Weekly quizzes, midterm and final examinations. Prerequisite: Greek 1A, equivalent, or permission of instructor. This course may be used to satisfy the breadth requirement in language (VI) as well as the School of Humanities\' foreign language requirement.
GREEK 101GREEK PROSELAPE, S.Classical Greek Prose: Demosthenes This course introduces the Greek prose of Athenian forensic texts. In addition to reading selections from Demosthenes\' private lawsuits, we will review Greek grammar and syntax, using Anne Groton\'s From Alpha to Omega.
