We will also read selected passages from various authors, including Aesop, Xenophon, and Herodotus. Weekly quizzes, midterm, and final examination. Prerequisite: Greek 1B or equivalent.

GREEK 103PLATO'S APOLOGYGIANNOPOULOU, Z.The general aim of this course is to enhance our ability to read and understand texts of ancient Greek prose while examining their historical, literary, cultural and social contexts. We will read Plato's "Apology" in the original Greek, paying attention to grammar, syntax, and the rhetorical construction of speech.
