KOREAN S1ABFUNDAMENTALSHYUN, H.First half of first-year Korean in an intensified form. The objective of Korean S1AB-BC is to guide students in developing basic Korean language skills. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of written and spoken Korean language. Two textbooks (Korean 1 & practice book: Language Education Institute, Seoul National University) will be used throughout the year. The main textbook aims to develop students’ basic communicative skills in practical, everyday situations whereas the practice book intends to be used in conjunction with the main textbook to complement and to strengthen the acquired vocabulary and grammar in all four areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Prerequisite: Placement into Korean 1A/1KA. Korean S1AB overlaps with Korean 1A and first half of Korean 1B during academic year. Students may not receive credit for both. Enrollment is limited.
