The Arts Inclusion & Merit (AIM) Internship Program will provide substantive, paid, part-time educational opportunities for undergraduate students, exposing them to a variety of career paths in the museum field. Working towards encouraging increased diversity in the arts, the internship runs for 12 weeks and is structured to be 24/hours per week, paying $15/hour.

Instructions:
The Registrar's Office at the UCI Institute and Museum for California Art (IMCA) is accepting applications for student intern positions for the Fall 2021 Quarter.

Description: The Registrar's Office creates and maintains the official records for all objects in IMCA’s collection, oversees all artworks entering and leaving the museum, and is responsible for the care of the collection. The internship provides an opportunity to learn about best practices in museum registration and collections management and will gain an understanding of the day-to-day responsibilities of a museum registrar.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

- entering data into the museum collections database (EmbARK)
- conducting copyright research
- generating condition reports and shipping receipts
- archiving files for incoming loans, outgoing loans and exhibitions

The ideal candidate is motivated, detail oriented, meticulous in gathering and entering information, and comfortable with computer work. The internship will begin the week of September 27th and requires a minimum of 10 hours a week during the quarter.

This compensatory internship is open to all undergraduate students.
