Explore the natural and cultural history of the ultimate planned community!  Follow a naturalist on an easy, interpretive walk through a natural area and into the Quail Hill neighborhood and community park.  Stop frequently to observe, identify and discuss the local flora and fauna.  Hear fascinating tales of how the landscape has changed from prehistoric times until now, identify manicured ornamental plant communities and wildlife species found in "open spaces," drainages, and at ends of cul de sacs. In Irvine there is always more than meets the eye.

Our Guide: Joel Robinson, a barefoot, bearded mountain man from Silverado Canyon who plays fiddle and mandolin and shares stories about the natural and cultural history of the Santa Ana Mountains in Orange County, CA. He is a professional naturalist (environmental educator) and has guided thousands of people on nature tours since 2001.
