Public Affairs

The Center for Medical Humanities Public Affairs Program provides a responsive venue for exploring topical and contemporary issues in health, healing, and well-being. Topics have ranged from Obamacare in the Age of Trump to the Flint water crisis and assisted suicide.



In addition to developing its own public engagement programs, the Center also co-sponsors events that raise awareness about health, healing, well-being, and advance a holistic model of health care. Co-sponsored events include the Jerome Tobis Lecture in Medical Ethics, the Bill and Sue Gross Stem Cell Center Photographic Exhibition, and the First Annual Symposium on Healing and Hope.
