Big Brother States in Fact and Fiction

How prophetic was George Orwell's most famous novel?  If he came back to life now, what might surprise him most and least about the way propaganda and surveillance systems work in different countries?  These are the kinds of questions that this wide ranging panel will address, moving across the world and engaging with different genres of writing.  The participants will include longtime BBC correspondent turned spy novelist Adam Brookes, historian Jeffrey Wasserstrom, and a journalist (TBD).
