AMERICAN ANIMALS: Advance Film Screening

 Film and Media Studies     May 23 2018 | 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM HG 1070

The Department of Film & Media Studies is pleased to present an advance screening of

AMERICAN ANIMALS (2018),

the extraordinary and thrilling true story of four friends who brazenly attempt to execute one of the most audacious art heists in U.S. history, in the McCormick Screening Room (HG1070) on May 23rd at 7pm. Seating is limited, free and open to the public, on a first-come, first-seated basis. This screening is supported by The Orchard Group.

The film opens in theaters in June, and has been praised for its "unabashedly virtuoso, show-off filmmaking, as cocky as the misguided young men at the film’s center, who, at least for a period, saw their lives as a Hollywood romp" (Variety) - comes join us for a film that "turns  to the history of bizarre American crimes to relate a story that would be hard to invent [...] while bowing to modern stalwarts of the genre like Michael Mann, Oliver Stone and, above all, Quentin Tarantino" (Hollywood Reporter).
