Eta Sigma Phi Undergraduate Colloquium:

"Untold Stories: Rewriting the Women of Greek Myth"

By Emily Hauser, Ph.D.
Junior Fellow, Society of Fellows, Harvard University

There are many ways in which the often-silenced women of Greek myth might be recovered, rewritten, revoiced. This talk explores how contemporary fiction provides one avenue, and reflects on the creative process of rewriting the women of the ancient world.

EMILY HAUSER is a classicist and author of For the Most Beautiful & For the Winner. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4 & The Guardian with Colm Toibin & Natalie Haynes. She is a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows.

Presented by Delta Sigma Chapter of Eta Sigma Phi, UCI Department of Classics, and Illuminations
