Peter Frei, "Political Fictions of the Renaissance: The Reinvention of Literature in Early Modern France," a lecture for UCI's Center for Early Cultures

Peter Frei is an Assistant Professor of French at the University of California, Irvine. He is the author of François Rabelais et le scandale de la modernité : pour une herméneutique de l’obscène renaissant (2015). He is currently working on a second book, tentatively titled The Renaissance of Sartre: A Counter-History of Literary ‘Engagement'.
