Learn how to make the templates of WordPress, one of the most popular blogging platforms in use today, work for your instructional, research, and public projects.This workshop will introduce the open source WordPress software, which not only serves as one of the most popular blogging platforms in use today but also powers millions of websites, from The Atlantic to The Walt Disney Company. Learn how to take advantage of the power and flexibility of WordPress for your instructional, research, or public project. Try your hand at using a theme and plugins to shape a WordPress site, either on Sites@UCI or on a local installation. No programming experience needed, only curiosity!

Amalia Herrmann is a Continuing Lecturer in the Humanities Core program, for which she also develops instructional design and creates and manages digital teaching tools.
