Grant-Writing Workshop Series | Session 1

 Humanities Center     Apr 13 2017 | 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM HIB 137

Time rescheduled: 4:00-6:00 pm (will include food)

The workshop series is open to PhD students in the arts, humanities, and qualitative social sciences. In addition to gaining a deeper understanding of fellowships and grant funding for graduate study and research, students will receive one-on-one consultations as they prepare their applications.

The workshops will be led by Professor Edward Dimendberg (School of Humanities), who brings extensive experience in successfully applying for fellowships and grants and in working with funding agencies.  He will also provide one-on-one consultations on draft funding proposals.  Graduate students who have participated in previous workshop have received awards from ACLS, the Fulbright Commission, and other funding agencies.

Participants are expected to attend all three group sessions.  Each student will receive individual written feedback on his or her draft application and will meet individually with Professor Dimendberg at least twice in spring quarter. He also will be available for consultations during summer 2017.

Register for the workshop series here.

PRE-REQUISITE: Graduate students should attend the Humanities Commons Finding Funding Opportunities on Monday, October 31, or Monday, March 6. If you did not attend a Finding Funding workshop, please contact Amanda Swain at ajswain@uci.edu before registering for the workshop series.
