The third installment in "What is to be Done?" the Humanities Dean's Forum on Issues of the Day

Moderated by Georges Van Den Abbeele, dean of the UCI School of Humanities, this forum brings together experts who can discuss the contributions of a free press, how to evaluate and support accurate news reporting, and how to respond to “fake news.” Featured speakers include:

  • Aijaz Ahmad, Chancellor’s Professor of comparative literature, UCI
  • Emilee Mathews, research librarian for visual arts, UCI Libraries
  • Margot Roosevelt, business writer for the Orange County Register
  • Jeffrey Wasserstrom, Chancellor’s Professor of history, UCI
