Dr. Marco G. Brambilla is a practicing architect and an architectural historian specializing in the history of Islamic and Armenian architecture. He is a multilingual architectural historian, who has taught and lectured extensively in major schools of architecture worldwide. Upon his graduation from the School of Architecture of the University of Rome, Italy, he taught architectural design, history and preservation at the universities of Rome and Calabria in Italy cooperating closely with the renowned professors Scarpelli and Cuneo. Since 1983, Marco Brambilla has lived in Los Angeles, California as a practicing architect and chairman of Domus Design, an international architectural firm. He continues teaching history of Islamic and Armenian architecture, most recently at UCLA. Over the last three years he has continued a series of lectures and classes in various Universities in Iran, especially in the Schools of Architecture, in Tehran, Isfahan, Qazvin and others, as well as a guest speaker for the Farhangestan Institute in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Brambilla continues his activities as a practicing architect, as well as his teaching, lecturing and academic activities in the United States, Iran and Armenia.
