NGOs, States, and Feminisms is focused around critical debates in theory and research on NGOs. The themes to be addressed include the ambiguous relationships of NGOs to states in the context of neoliberalism, the nature and functioning of NGOs within shifting and contested global and local configurations of power, and the dynamics of the NGO field in relation to feminist activism and concerns.
