First Annual English Graduate Symposium

First Annual English Graduate Symposium

The purpose of this graduate symposium is to give graduate students in English and
Comparative Literature an opportunity to present their ongoing work and to facilitate
communication within the department and across our varying fields. It will also be an
opportunity for the faculty as a whole to see and appreciate the work of graduate
students.

All English and Comparative Literature graduate students are invited to apply. We
hope to receive submissions from graduate students at all stages in the program.

We welcome abstracts of 250-300 words, from all fields, in any topic, to be
submitted to UCIEnglishSymposium@gmail.com no later than April 20, 2013.
Presentations will be 20 minutes in length. Please include a brief CV with
your abstract.

The symposium will be followed by a department-wide reception and dance party.
