David Myers (UCLA) and Xu Xin (Nanjing University): "Jews and Jewish Studies in China: Chinese and American Perspectives"

This joint talk will feature Professor Xu Xin, one of the leading scholars of Jewish studies in China and the founder of the oldest institute for Jewish studies in that country in conversation with Professor David Myers, scholar of Jewish history and Chair of the UCLA History Department who taught in China in the summer of 2012.
Xu Xin is professor of Jewish studies and literature at Nanjing University, where he serves as director of the Glazer Institute for Jewish Studies.
