Sam Steinberg is an Assistant Professor of Spanish and Portuguese at USC where he works on contemporary Mexican literature and visual culture. Among his many articles are “Tlatelolco me bautizó: Literary Renewal and the Neoliberal Transition” and “Re-cinema: Hauntaulogy of 1968.” He has edited several special issues including The Gift of Sight: Contemporary Economies of the Visual (Discourse: Journal for Theoretical Studies in Media and Culture). He is currently finishing his manuscript Photopoetics at Tlatelolco.
