Telma Luzzani is Licenciada en Letras for the University of Buenos Aires,
where she worked as a professor in the area of Literary Theory for
several years. Her main activity, however, is linked to journalism. For
over twenty years, she covered international politics for the newspaper
Clarin and was the reporter of choice to cover the main events that
shaped contemporary Japan, Russia, China and Brazil. She is currently the
host of "Vision siete internacional" a television program of international analysis
aired in Argentina's public television.

In 2008, Luzzani published "Venezuela y la revolución: escenarios de la
era bolivariana" one of the most comprehensive accounts ever produced on Hugo
Chavez;s government in Venezuela.

"Territorios vigilados. Como operan las bases norteamericanas en latinoamerica,"
provides detailed information about the sites, forms of
operation and the networks connecting U.S. military bases in Latin America
to larger political context both in Latin America and the US. The book
includes a reflection on the historical background of US-Latin America relationship
that elapses from the early nineteenth century to the
establishment of the first military bases after World War II.
