"Deleuze and A Thousand Plateau"
This series of 6 short presentations followd by discussion (2 per day) will survey the whole of Deleuze & Guattari's 1,000 Plateaus, one of the most widely-influential works of recent philosophy. Appearances not withstanding, the book has a distinct structure, and after an initial presentation outlining that structure, along with the relation of contemporary science to philosophy, the remaining 5 presentations will show how the book addresses problems of ontology, epistemology, ethological antrhopology, politics, and ethics.

Eugene W. Holland is the author most recently of "Nomad Citizenship: Free-Market Communism and the Slow-Motion General Strike" (Minnesota 2011), and has published widely on the work of Deleuze and Guattari. His earlier book on "Anti-Oedipus, Introduction to Schizoanalysis" (Routledge 1999), will soon be followed by a companion volume on "1,000 Plateaus" (Continuium 2013).
