A Public Lecture (via Skype) in Spanish by EDUARDO LALO


Eduardo Lalo is one of the most significant artists and writers working in Puerto
Rico today. He is the author of La isla silente (2002), Los pies de San Juan (2002),
La inutilidad (2004), donde (2005), Los países invisibles (2008, Winner of the
Premio de Ensayo Juan Gil-Albert-Ciutat de València, 2006), El deseo del lápiz:
castigo, urbanismo, escritura (2010) and his latest novel published in Argentina,
entitled Simone (2011). He has directed the short films donde (2004) and La
ciudad perdida (2006). His visual work (photography, film, paintings and
installations) has been part of multiple exhibitions.
