Adoption and the Unending Korean War:
Talks by Jennifer Kwon Dobbs and SooJin Pate

Jennifer Kwon Dobbs’ talk is titled “To Collapse a Regime: Representations of North Korean Adoption.” She is Assistant Professor of English and Director of American Racial and Multicultural Studies at St. Olaf College, a fellow of the Korea Policy Institute, and author of Paper Pavilion (White Pine, 2007).

SooJin Pate’s talk is titled “Militarized Humanitarianism: Rethinking the Emergence of Korean Adoption.” She is Assistant Professor at Minneapolis Community Technical College and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Macalester College. Her book Genealogies of Korean Adoption is forthcoming from the University of Minnesota Press.
