Join us for a screening of "Mountains That Take Wing: Angela Davis & Yuri Kochiyama - A Conversation on Life, Struggles & Liberation," a documentary conversation over thirteen years between two social justice activists: Internationally renowned scholar, professor and writer Angela Davis and 89-year-old grassroots organizer and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Yuri Kochiyama, which gives an intimate reflection of the personal histories and influences that shaped them and their overlapping historical experiences.

This film was screened as a works-in-progress at UCI and UCR and student input went into the final cut of the film. Now is a chance to view it in finished form and join in a conversation about its significance with Dr. Allison Perlman, a scholar of media activism, broadcasting policy, American social movements, and popular memory.
