B.A. Degree with a Specialization in English for Future Teachers

The department offers a slightly modified form of the English B.A. to those students who think they might be interested in going on from their English degree to train as elementary or secondary English teachers. This B.A. Degree in English with a Specialization in English for Future Teachers includes some coursework in the School of Education or other schools across campus and some fieldwork in an educational setting. Students who complete this form of the BA will find themselves particularly well-positioned applying for competitive MAT programs upon graduation, and will also have had an invaluable opportunity to gain insight into the nature of the teacher's role.
