A Statement from UCI Jordan Center for Persian Studies & Culture

Regarding recent events in Afghanistan

Dear Friends of UCI Jordan Center for Persian Studies & Culture,

Our sympathies go to the people of Afghanistan. The recent events are distressing for many, especially women, artists, musicians, and intellectuals of Afghanistan. We at the Center for Persian Studies & Culture will do our best to promote the culture of Afghanistan and Persian (Dari) literature & Culture. Herat, Gardiz, Ghazni, Kabul, Mazar Sharif, and Kandahar are important historic places, and their people are in our hearts and minds. We will have several programs by experts in the field to make better sense of what has happened to Afghanistan soon.
