RECENT WORKS IN ENDING THE KOREAN WAR

 

In this collaborative discussion, Clara Han, Crystal Mun-hye Baik,and Monica Kim will discuss the recent publication of their books,which focus on the multiscalar implications of the Korean War, withcommentary provided by Jinah Kim. An ongoing 70-year conflict thatremains unfinished, the Korean War has had profound effects acrossmultiple scales-- ranging from the continuing implications ofpeninsular division on bodies, social intimacies, communities, andland and water ecologies, to the brutality of militarized sexualviolence and national surveillance, to global security systems andtranspacific formations.
