UCI Pedagogical Humanities welcomes Beth Berila, Ph.D., Director of the Gender & Women's Studies Program and Professor in the Ethnic, Gender, and Women's Studies Department at St. Cloud State University.

Dr. Berlia will present her talk titled,

"How Contemplative Pedagogy Can Deepen Anti-
Oppression Teaching & Learning"

Beth Berila, Ph.D., is the Director of the Gender & Women's Studies Program and Full Professor in the Ethnic, Gender & Women's Studies Department at St. Cloud State University. She is also an Embodied Leadership Coach & Facilitator who blends of somatics, mindfulness, and transformational leadership approaches. Her first book, Integrating Mindfulness into Anti-Oppression Pedagogy: Social Justice in Higher Education, came out from Routledge in 2015. Her most recent book, Radiating Feminism: Resilience Practices to Transform Our Inner & Outer Lives (Routledge, 2020), supports social justice leaders in their change-making journeys.
