This UCI Illuminations Zoom event is being led by the CO@, a collective of artists and scientists committed to research-based creative practice. Cherise Boothe, Muhammad Twaha Ibrahim, Quyen Ngo, and Sam Carter are members of this collective and will be presenting this interdisciplinary showcase to energize UC Irvine students, staff, and faculty to participate in a UCI Illuminations guided tour and discussion of the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Museum in the Winter 2022 academic quarter.

Using the welcome sign that opens the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Museum, this event will work to unpack and make accessible the interdisciplinary fullness of Noah Purifoy’s use of art to engage in social change and critique and the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Museum’s multi-dimensional qualities.

This event is co-sponsored by iGravi Lab, UCI Illuminations, Queer Academy, the Department of History, and the Center for Medical Humanities.

Dr. Ana Elizabeth Rosas is the UCI faculty co-organizer and facilitator of this event collaboration and program.
