Photo & video release forms
If you plan on taking photos of UCI students, faculty, staff, etc. to use in advertisements or public-facing documents or websites, please have the subjects sign the consent form linked here.
When hosting a public event, it is easier to simply notify all guests that photos/video will be taken rather than to secure individual consent forms. You can access the notice of filming here.
For live-streaming:
Camille Funk, Director of DesignPlusUCI Division of Continuing Education

Free stock photo sites
- Unsplash: This is my favorite website for stock images because the images are free and without contingency (you can use them & edit them however you want & don’t even have to credit the photographer or website) & they’re exceptionally high-quality.
- Pexels: This is another great website for free stock images.
- Wikimedia Commons: Wikimedia Commons has over 36 million freely-licensed and public domain educational images, audio and video available to everyone. All media files on Wikimedia Commons can be used by anyone, but each file is licensed differently (some require attribution, some don’t). The most common licenses used are created by Creative Commons, which require the author to be credited. To learn more about how to choose photos and check their licenses, click here.
