“A play about Vietnamese people by a guy who doesn’t know sh*t about being Vietnamese.”

Qui Nguyen is a New York City-based, award-winning playwright, screenwriter, and co-founder of the OBIE Award-winning Vampire Cowboys of NYC. Mr. Nguyen will be a guest speaker in Dr. Linda Vo’s Asian American Communities class. Los Angeles-based actors Maureen Sebastian and Raymond Lee will also perform a staged reading ofscenes from Mr. Nguyen’s play Vietgone, followed by a Q&A. The play was composed as part of a residency at South Coast Repertory Theatre.
